Interactive Physics
II allows one to perform simulations in mechanics and
visualize the results. Students who own their own Mac or PC may want
to purchase their own student version of this software. I highly
recommend that students have access to Interactive Physics - at least
on one or two computers at the school. This is a powerful learning
tool.

Calculators
I recommend that students get a graphing calculator. I recommend
the Hewlett Packard HP48G series or the Texas Instruments TI-85 (or
TI-80 or TI-81 or TI-82 or TI-83). You can get some great information
and software for either series by visitng the Hewlett
Packard web site or the Texas
Instruments web site.
