Syllabus

Updated: July 21, 1998

The number of class units available in a high school semester is 90, where a class unit is 50 minutes long. We will assume 80 are actually available. Our goal is to fit the entire curriculum in 135 units. Since BNL class meetings are 45 min instead of 50 mintes, this is equivalent to 150 units.

By comparison, P221 is taught in 106 to 107 units at IUB. There are three lectures per week, two discussions per week and a 115-min lab per week over 14 full weeks. There is one lecture, one discussion and no lab during Thanksgiving. Exams are given in evenings.
