Physics Demo Podcasts
We are currently making podcast videos of classic physics demonstrations to use as teaching tools in the introductory physics classes. We also plan on uploading them to YouTube and they will be posted here once they are finished.
Ruben's Tube
The Ruben's tube is a physics experiment that demonstrates a standing wave and shows the relationship between sound waves and air pressure. When music is played through the speakers it makes a really cool show! Until ours is built, check out these links:
Past Projects
Cardboard Boat Regatta
The Physics club built a boat made entirely out of cardboard and duct tape and then raced it in IU's 2008 Cardboard Boat Regatta. We came in third place!
Monoenergetic Electron Source
The Monoenergetic Electron Source is an apparatus to produce an electron beam of a narrow energy band via a beta source.
