The Pre-lab for E4 - Uniform Acceleration has incorrect values for h1, h2 and s. Please use the following values instead of the values printed in the manual:
h1 = 5.5 +/- 0.3 cm.
h2 = 13.6 +/- 0.3 cm
s = 160.8 +/- 0.3 cm

- HW #2 is graded and will be in the pick up box by Monday afternoon.
- HWs #1 and #2 have been posted on ONCOURSE. Check you score. There may
be data-entry problems, let me know via email if you had graded homework with
no score on ONCOURSE.
- HW #3 is due today (1/28) by NOON!

- Late HW policy: There should be no late HW. You will not get permission
to hand in HW late. Get it handed in by the due time. If you are late with
it, do it, and hand it in asap. It is important to do the HW! Points on late HW
will be deducted according to the discretion of the instructor.
- HW#2 was due yesterday. Solutions are on the web.
- HW#1 has been graded and placed in the pick-up box. Find yours, check
ONCOURSE when grades have been posted.
- Exam #1 next Thursday 1/31, 7pm. Mark you calendars. Watch this space
for more details.

- No class on Mon 1/21. No office hours either. I will be glad to meet by appnt though.
- HW#2 due on T 1/22 at noon. Turn in to drop box like last time. Use decent
paper, staple, write legibly, put your name on it, etc.
- Pick up your graded HW in (slotted, alphabetized) pick-up box next to drop-off box.

- HW#1 due today at 12 noon! Turn in to P201 drop box near 1st floor
elevators in Swain West.
- As announced earlier, P202 in Fall 02 will use same textbook (second volume).
However, P202 in summer may not. I will provide more info when I get the
definate word.

- TIS said that they have 50 copies of the book on the
shelves as of 10 this morning.
- HW #1 is due Mon 1/14 at noon. Write legibly on decent paper,
staple the pages, and turn in to the drop box near 1st floor elevator of
Swain West.
- Due to the MLK holiday, HW #2 will be due Tues 1/22 at noon.

The Chap. 1 and 2 HW problems have been scanned and put on the
HW page.

There is a shortage of textbooks. Here is the latest info:
- TIS just got some more in (~20), they will get more later this week.
The IMU will order more (TIS seems more on top of it).
- Volume 1 of the textbook is REQUIRED . The 2 volume set is
optional. That was suggested as P202 will use Vol 2 and buying the 2 volumes
together should save you some money in the long run.
- HW#1 will not be delayed. We will scan and post the HW problems from the
book on the www site SOON .
- I have put 2 copies of the book on reserve in the physics library (SW 2nd floor).
If you don't have the book yet, go to the physics library and read it there (for now)
and/or read the chap 1,2 material at the
Textbook Webpage .
