  • 4/30/03
    The room for our final exam presentations has been changed to SW238. Same time: 10am-12:30 Tues, 5/6
  • 4/28/03
    • Final presentations during our final exam time: Tues 5/6, 10am-12:30 in SW 238 Give a 10 min (+5 min for questions) presentations. A transparency machine will be available. Contact me if you want to use a computer projector.
    • Final reports due on Thurs 5/8. A sample report may be found at: http://www.physics.indiana.edu/~p451_s03/sample_report.pdf . Follow this format.
  • 4/7/03
    • Have (at least) analysis done for Experiment 3 lab writeup. I will go over it with you in class and hand back your last (Experiment 2) lab report.
    • Final projects begin this week. Do the prep as listed in the email that I sent out.

    • Group 2, Experiment 3 begins this week. Experiment assignments are listed below.
    • Report for G2, Experiment 2 is due today! Make a copy of your report for yourself as I will keep the copy that you turn in
    • Decide on your final experiment soon. Talk to me about it.

    • Homework Set 2 solutions and Set 3 problems are posted. See the Homework Page . Homework 3 due 2/6. Homework set 3 consists of redoing set 2 in a slightly different way.

    • Make sure to read the prep material for the next lab that you are assigned before next class so as to work efficiently during class time. Experiment assignments are tabulated below.
  • 1/18/03
    • D.W. Preston and E.R. Dietz, The Art of Experimental Physics (Wiley, 1991) is not required for the class, but get a copy if you can find and can afford. If not, a copy is on reserve and we have one in the lab. It will come in handy.
    • Magnetic fields lab writeup has been revised. Get corrected copy on Experiments page.
    • Homework 1 is due on 1/23. Have it completed by class time so that we can discuss.
  • 1/16/03 First day of class. See you at 1:25p sharp in SW 125. Get your logbook before class.
