Hello, welcome to my homepage!
Currently I am a graduate student in the physics department, Indiana Uniersity at Bloomington, IN. The field that I am working with is Biohysics which adopts physics method to understand the biological systems. My advisor is Professor Sima Setayeshgar, who focuses on the interface between physics and biologiy on scales ranging from the molecular and cellular to the macroscopic.
Before I came to Indiana University, I finished 2 years graduate studies in Peking University under Professor Guangcheng Xiong who is an experimentalist and interested in the physical properties of colossal magnetoresistance (CMR) materials. I learned a lot during these two years as an experimentalist.
In physics department of Indiana University, the first project I did is to understand how the drugs are delivered in heart tissue through the pericardial sac with our collaborators from the medical school of IUPUI. Another project I am involved is the cone shaped heart model, the minimum realistic model of heart. The goals of these projects are trying to use simple mathematical models to understand these complex biological systems. The success in modeling these systems can identify the underlying mechanism.
That's roughly my experience. If you want to know more about me, please see my resume!
